Now equipped with a 3211cc flat-6 twin turbo engine, it was able to output a maximum horsepower of 845ps. At the 6 hours of Silverstone Circuit it managed to win first place. As for the 1978 Le Mans, it managed to record the fastest top speed, and put up a good fight against Group 6 cars such as the Renault A442 and 936. However, despite such speed it only managed to finish 8th in the end.
