I built this diorama to commemorate the centenary of the sinking of the Lusitania. I also featured it on my ocean liner blog, photographed with a background (see photos). It took about 6 months to build– from the Gunze 1/350 kit with Gold Medal Models photo etch railings and Eduard pre-painted figures. The base is a painting board coated with Acrylic medium. The base measures 20″ x 30″and sits inside a 22″ x 32″ plexiglass case that I also made. I was unable to made a top for it, but that can easily be done. I really do not have room to display it and I would like to see it given a good home. Comes from a smoke free home.
